About Pamela Anne
I am a Canadian realist painter, born and raised in beautiful British Columbia and currently based in Vancouver.
My passion for drawing and painting began at a very young age. I would draw every day, copying characters from my favourite shows and drawing mythological creatures. Inspired by my late father, who was a hobbyist painter, I began working with oil paints during my elementary years after he gave me my first set. Throughout my youth, I explored subjects such as landscapes and still life, and finally discovered my love for portrait painting in Grade 12.
Although I consider myself a self-taught oil painter, I was fortunate to spend four years in Toronto, Ontario, working as a painting assistant for Canadian First Nations artist Kent Monkman. During this time, I developed skills in painting figures, landscapes, still life, animals and nature scenes using acrylic paints.
Since pursuing my art career full-time in September 2023, I have been sharing painting process videos on YouTube. Inspired by both people and nature, my goal is to create beautiful paintings.
